چکیده

We recently experienced a case which had an aneurysm with Moyamoya disease. He developed by a sudden severe headach, vomitting and conscious disturbance. CT was performed, and it revealed hematoma having a diameter of 1. 0 cm adjacent to the anterior horn of the lateral ventricle in the head of the left caudate nucleus, and both lateral ventricles, 3rd ventricle, and 4th ventricle were found to be filled with clot. On the 17th day after onset, cerebral angiography was performed and it was found that both internal carotid arteries were strongly stenotic and Moyamoya vessels araised from bifurcation of each internal carotid artery. A spherical aneurysm 3 x 3 mm in size was seen in the periphery of the Moyamoya vessels, and its location was coincided with intracerebral hematoma on CT. This aneurysm were observed in enhanced CT, and became to smaller and smaller. We performed repeat cerebral angiography on 72nd day after onset, and found the aneurysm to be disappeared.

Embolization of an unruptured distal lenticulostriate aneurysm associated with moyamoya disease.

Lenticulostriate aneurysms are rare and usually present with intracranial hemorrhage, limiting understanding of their natural course. We describe an unusual case of an unruptured rapidly growing distal LSA aneurysm in the setting of Moyamoya disease, successfully embolized with n-BCA following functional neurologic testing with amobarbital.

Ruptured aneurysm of the accessory middle cerebral artery associated with moyamoya disease: a case report.

The accessory middle cerebral artery can provide collateral blood supply in moyamoya disease. We report a case of unilateral moyamoya disease which demonstrates the anatomy of the right accessory middle cerebral artery and a ruptured peripheral aneurysm on the artery. Our patient was a 56-year-old woman who initially suffered from headache and lethargy. Right caudate nucleus hemorrhage with int...

Moyamoya disease associated with arteriovenous malformation and anterior communicating artery aneurysm: A case report and literature review

Moyamoya disease (MMD) can be associated with an aneurysm or arteriovenous malformation (AVM). However, no case of MMD simultaneously associated with both intracranial aneurysm and AVM has been previously reported. The present study reports the case of a patient with MMD simultaneously associated with both aneurysm and AVM. The patient was a 46-year-old woman presenting with a subarachnoid hemo...

Intracranial saccular aneurysm and moyamoya disease.

Moyamoya disease is a rare but well described entity which has been found in the angiographic investigation of subarachnoid hemorrhage, its most common symptom in adults. We present 4 patients in whom moyamoya disease and an intracranial saccular aneurysm were discovered. In 2 of the 3 patients suffering a hemorrhage, the aneurysm was the source of bleeding. Three of the aneurysms were located ...

A rare case of a ruptured middle meningeal aneurysm causing intracerebral hematoma in a patient with moyamoya disease.

Moyamoya disease is infrequently associated with intracranial aneurysms arising from the circle of Willis vessels or from "peripheral" branches of choroidal and meningeal vessels. We present a rare case of a moyamoya-related aneurysm arising along the dural junction of multiple meningeal branches from the external carotid artery causing intracerebral hemorrhage. Endovascular coil embolization o...
